Teradata India released its technology predictions for the India market in 2017. According to a recent predictions report, smart cities as planned by the government of India will use nearly 1.6 billion IoT connected devices by 2016, an increase of 39 per cent from 2015. Smart commercial buildings are predicted to be the highest user of IoT until 2017, followed by smart homes. Together these two categories will consume just over 1 billion connected devices by 2018.
